Tuesday : Just Another Day ……………

This week is dragging ! I can’t believe it is only Tuesday ! Yesterday felt like it was 3 days ago ! I guess my 4 day weekend is the only thing I am thinking about !

Today was just the average day , full of ups and downs. I was glad to get home and get myself settled in for the night. I got up this morning and did 30 min. HIIT on the spin bike and a 30 min. elliptical program. For breakfast this morning I had some Honey Almond Granola in my usual oatmeal with , of course, chocolate peanut butter.

Morning snack consisted of 2 Rye Crisp crackers with a wedge of Laughing Cow Cheese spread on them and an apple.

The morning was mad busy, never got to lunch until after 2 pm. I had tuna salad on a sandwich thin with 90 calories wheat sticks, and my trusty peach.

When I got home from work Hubby has this little (big) Reese’s Peanut butter cup (my fav) waiting for me with a sweet note ! I had to eat it , right? Such a hardship ……but it had to be done !

For dinner, a piece of salmon, spinach/mushroom bake and new potatoes.

And for dessert ……..some FF frozen yogurt , with a little chocolate syrup (lite) and whip cream (lite) .
Right now I am really tired ! I have no idea why because I went to bed early last night. I think i will just lay in bed and read until I fall asleep.
The count down to my last hurrah weekend begins ……………2 more days and counting !

A Busy But Wonderful Weekend !

This was a busy weekend ! We started a yard project and today it really started coming together ! We worked all morning digging up rocks, came home and got to work ! We got half of the yard done and we are exhausted but very very happy ! I have a specific vision for how I want the front of the house to look , and it is FINALLY taking shape !!!! It is exciting and although it is a lot of hard work , it was definately worth the effort because I love how it came out ! It was a win/win day ! We made a dent in the yard work and I got to spend the day (the past 3 days actually) with my favorite person in

Last night I tried on my swimsuit. I tried it on when I was 160 lbs. and wasn’t too thrilled. Since I am now almost 140 lbs. and I really want to go to the beach while we are on vacation in 2 weeks, I decided last night to try it on again. I was ok with it ! Aside from being winter pale, it didn’t look too bad ! I could wear it and not feel like a fatty I think ! I will say I was satisfied with how it looked. I will maybe take a photo of myself in it when I finally have some color, we will see !

This is my last week of work before we begin our June vacation. We can’t wait ! the count down begins ………………… 4 days till we are free !!! As I’ve mentioned , this week off will be our 2 year Wedding Anniversary week, and we have a bunch of day trips planned . I can’t wait to spend time with my husband and be able to relax and enjoy time away from work !!!!!
Knowing there are only 4 days of work this week helps make going back to work after a long weekend off a lot less painful , for sure ! Have a great week all !

Weekly Weigh In : Hit My First Goal Weight !!!!!!

I am one happy gal this morning ! I am officially at my first goal weight ! I am 150 lbs ! The last time I was this weight I was a sophmore in high school ! (and oddly enough thought I was fat !!!!!) I can’t beleive I am here ! Finally ! This week I upped my calories a little (by about 100-150 calories) because I was worried that I was losing too fast and worried about the potential of gaining it back just as quickly with one slip up down the road. Here are my stats for this week:

Weight : 150.6 = ( 2.2 lb. loss)

Fat % : 33.9 % = (0.8 % loss )

BMI : 22.4 = ( 0.2 point loss)

Last night I wore jeans and a T shirt in honor of the warm beautiful weather…….. definately could see a difference. The protruding belly and lovely muffin top over the jeans is gone (YAY!!!). I am really happy with my progress and I am ready to tackle goal # 2 : 140 lbs.

I want to work this weekend on possibly taking some progress pics, but honestly I am nervous about it. I am so afraid when I look at the pictures I will not be able to see the progress that shows on the scale. I see it in the mirror, but I worry that there will be nothing to be seen on film. I need to do it sooner or later……..I may as well just do it !

Today I decided to make a weight loss care package for my sister in law. I know I said I was not going to invest my energy trying to help friends on the path to weight loss…..but I’ve had time to rethink it……(thanks for the comment Jessi, it made me think ) I am going to do this differently this time though…. I will explain in a later post……. so stay tuned !

Today I have tons to do. I promised my niece a bike lesson today….she is totally embarassed of the whole training wheel stigma… my husband and I are taking her to a local school parking lot to get her on two wheels.

We also have a TON of yard work to do ! I want to change a lot of things in our yard and I will be pulling things up and replanting things. I figure that is great exercise……plus there are the normal weekend chores……food shopping, laundry, cooking for the week, cleaning the house….it never ends ! A full weekend ahead !
